This was originally designed to be a proto-type for
the "Cube"
piece, exploring the technique of suspending larger
pieces by using random angled dowels. The
randomness of all the angles in the piece cause the
eye to roam over each section trying to take it all
in. The feeling of floating pieces in air, with
only a 1x1 piece raising it from the finely finished
base. The size allows it to be set on a table or
pedestal for viewing.
